Who We Are

Some buildings whisper their history. Others announce the future. We believe the best ones do both.

ARTT — Architecture Think Tank — is a young, multicultural design studio rooted in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. We were founded on a simple conviction: that architecture at its best doesn't erase what came before, it builds a thoughtful bridge to what comes next.

Where It Began

Our journey started at architecture school, where two architects first found common ground in their differences. Both are certified with the Council of Architecture and together we carry over eight years of hands on experience designing, building, and refining our craft one project at a time. That shared foundation paired with two distinct sensibilities is what shapes everything we create today.

The People Behind the Practice

Abdul Kareem Fayaz | Co Founder & Director of Design
Abdul's focus is architecture in its purest form — honest materials, considered interiors and spaces that feel intentional rather than decorated. He's especially drawn to the dialogue between old and new finding ways for a structure's history and its future to coexist naturally, without one overpowering the other.

Ram Prasanth Kumar | Co Founder & Director of Design Development
Ram brings discipline and depth to every idea that reaches the drawing board. His approach favors thoughtful methodology and a restrained, deliberate use of materials ensuring that every design isn't just beautiful but built with care and built to last.

What Drives Us

Driven by our passion for architecture, we're always pursuing real time designs solutions shaped by present context, not borrowed formulas. Together, we bring a rare balance: bold creative vision, grounded in careful execution. We approach every project as a continuation of a story already in progress, listening closely to a site's history before shaping what it becomes next.

At ARTT, we don't just design spaces. We build lasting relationships between the past and the future — one considered detail at a time.
